2 x smith & wesson .357. one used to top himself afterward.

28 round magazine, that would be one long magazine, I believe that the
browning is a single stack weapon. I am not aware of anyone manufactoring a
magazine with this cap.. Possibly he made them himself.
At least he had the decency to save the people the cost of having to try him.

<<no it wouldn't deter. the level of the contact crime is not the same as in

<<the US- firearm crimes are rare as the ability to purchase firearms is

<<limited to the higher level criminals and terrorist groups. in america there

<<burglar would not be armed- or if he was it would be a cosh or a blade.

<<to have guns circulating would change this- it would raise the level both in

<<internal arms race going on.

A cosh or a blade can and in some cases they do kill. The underlaying
argument here is the same one that the police in the U.S. are trying very had
to get people to accept. That is, if someone breaks into your house, pick up
the phone and call the police. Then you can pray that the police arraive
before the bad guys find you.
When I first moved to Sunny, Southern California there was an incident
reported in the local paper. An 84 year old man living alone in an apartment
was awakened by a noise in is living room. He got up and went to the door to
the living room and saw a large man in the process of robbing him. The robber
saw him and told him to go back to bed before he got hurt. The old man had an
old army 45 hanging from a nail by the door. He took the 45, shot the
intruder 3 times and then called the police. The indruder lived.
Firearms can and do make a difference.

<<the chance of death is very much increased when guns are involved as
oipposed to any <<other weapon.
In the U.S., when the occupant of the house/apartment is armed, it is the
intruder who winds up with holes in them.

<<Mostly going to terrorist groups- it is no surprise that the increase in

<<particularly ex-military weapons coincides with a rearming by the dissident

<<republican groups in ireland.

Has anyone suggested to the Home Secretary that he should spray the area with
an industrial strengh insectiside? :-)
