Turkey is NOT an Arab state.
Turks are not Arabs.
They do not speak Arabic, they speak Turkish ( a language related to Finnish
and Hungarian).
In fact a great deal of Islamic political History deals with the struggle
between Turkish and Arab control.
SO lets try again - anyone who knows what an Arab is -:

All Turks spoke Arabic until Ataturk decided it was not to be so. Their
classical libraries are still in Arabic, and probably 40% of the population
speak Arabic even today. At least a large number of the folks I knew spoke
Arabic whenever they needed to do so. Furthermore, Turkey has a large truly
"Arabic" population. Since Turkey is truly a multi-cultural country, they
call themselves "Turks." Unlike Israel, all citizens of the country are
considered to be equal and are Turks. They serve and fight in the Turkish
army, and actual tribal or ethnic matters are normally thought of only when
marriages, birth recording and funerals are in process. You may argue that
the Armenians were treated badly, but it was only the faction that sided with
Russia during Russia's war with Turkey. There are many Armenians living in
Turkey still. They are Christian and practice their religion freely. Even
the Kurds who have given Turkey a lot of trouble are still Turks. They serve
in the Turkish military and fight (better than most) in their battles. The
language of the Turks and the Finns does seem to have roots in Central Asia
(and some scholars give the Athapascans the same catagorization). I know a
woman who speaks Hungarian who says that the general grammatical structure is
the same. I can't verify. I've read a lot of Turkish history, and I recall
no mention of attempts at "Arab" control. There was a bit of a spat between
the Moslems and the Christians from time to time, but like all wars, it was
only over power and wealth. What Arab control faction are you speaking of?
