Atta May Have Been Irradiated:
Leading the 9-11 Attack Could
Have Been His Final Death Wish

YOWUSA.COM, November 16, 2001
Jacco van der Worp and Janice Manning Loughner

Federal investigations into the anthrax attacks on America have shifted attention away from international terrorism towards domestic terrorism. Is the shift in focus designed to take the spotlight off Mohamed Atta, the Osama bin Laden operative who led the 9-11 attack on the World Trade Center. Perhaps this is because there are two troubling issues with Atta that portend an even greater threat. First, why did a capable leader such as Atta kill himself instead of remaining alive to organize more attacks? Second, did the pharmacist who saw him just days before the 9-11 witness physical symptoms that suggest that Atta might have known he was dying from having improperly handled weapons grade Plutonium?

Until now, this possibility was conjecture but now that that Osama bin Laden has finally acknowledged that he does possess nuclear weapons, this conjecture has now become a real threat.

A New Phase in the Conflict

Soon after the 9-11 attacks, mail began appearing in various areas in the U.S., praising Allah, but containing a deadly cargo: spores of weapons grade anthrax. Inhalational anthrax was found, as well as the skin or cutaneous variation. So far, four people have died and a few dozen more are ill but recovering. Although cutaneous anthrax was reported to not be as deadly as the inhalational variety, it still caused widespread panic. Were these events somehow connected?

Mohamed Atta, a reported hijacker who flew one of the planes into the World Trade Center, was spotted a few days before the assault in a Palm Beach, FL, pharmacy. He was searching for medication for his hands, which had mysteriously become red and swollen.

What the Florida Pharmacist Witnessed

Is it possible that Atta could have prepared these letters before crashing into the WTC on 9-11, or could he have been working on something far worse?

Suspect Sought Medicine for Red Hands

DELRAY BEACH -- Mohamed Atta came in with red hands. Pharmacist Gregg Chatterton, co-owner of Huber Drugs, 331 E. Atlantic Ave., said he didn't know his customer's name at the time of the visit, sometime this summer. Nor would the man in casual clothes who spoke clear English with only a trace of an accent give Chatterton a straight answer about why his hands were red. He just needed something for them.

Chatterton figured his customer had been around some chemicals that were basic rather than acidic, so he sold him a 1-ounce tube of a medicine called "acid mantle" for $5.49. Chatterton said he also sold Atta's friend, Marwan Al-Shehhi, a bottle of Robitussin for a nasty chest cold and directed him to a nearby walk-in clinic.

Chatterton quizzed Atta about his line of work, hoping to get clues about the source of the irritation, which had left his hands not peeling but extremely red.

He asked if the men were in construction; the rough concrete and its chemical makeup, heavy in lime, can be irritants. The man said no. He asked if he worked with toluene or other cleaning solvents. He asked, "Do you work with some sort of chemical?" No.

"I asked, `Do you work in a garden?' " He laughed, "No."

Finally, "He said, `Computers.' He changed the subject. He was evasive. I had to go around in circles."

Chatterton finally gave up and recommended the acid cream.

Al-Shehhi -- not as talkative, his English not as good -- pointed to his chest. Chatterton gave him the Robitussin and said he might need stronger medicine, which meant a prescription. He sent the men to the closest walk-in clinic, Urgi Med, at 950 S.E. Fifth Ave.

Other sources confirm this report on the visit to the pharmacy by Atta and his companion:

Coz: Mohamed Atta Spotted With Possible Anthrax Symptoms

In what could turn out to be the clearest indication yet that the terrorist hijackers who attacked the U.S. on Sept. 11 are also behind the spate of anthrax cases diagnosed this week in New York and Florida, terrorist-ringleader Mohamed Atta was allegedly spotted in a Florida pharmacy with possible symptoms of anthrax poisoning.

"We know that he showed up at a pharmacy with red hands," Coz added. "There are people in this area who have very direct recollections of seeing him. He worked out in a gym where some of our employees were." <<

What would have made Mohamed Atta's hands so red and painful? One of the possible reasons may have been the handling of anthrax, or so the authorities stated in the press. Is this true, though? What are the symptoms of anthrax contact?

Symptoms of Anthrax

What are the symptoms of anthrax?

Symptoms of disease vary depending on how the disease was contracted, but symptoms usually occur within 7 days.

Cutaneous: Most (about 95%) anthrax infections occur when the bacterium enters a cut or abrasion on the skin, such as when handling contaminated wool, hides, leather or hair products (especially goat hair) of infected animals. Skin infection begins as a raised itchy bump that resembles an insect bite but within 1-2 days develops into a vesicle and then a painless ulcer, usually 1-3 cm in diameter, with a characteristic black necrotic (dying) area in the center. Lymph glands in the adjacent area may swell. About 20% of untreated cases of cutaneous anthrax will result in death. Deaths are rare with appropriate antimicrobial therapy.

Inhalation: Initial symptoms may resemble a common cold. After several days, the symptoms may progress to severe breathing problems and shock. Inhalation anthrax is usually fatal.

Intestinal: The intestinal disease form of anthrax may follow the consumption of contaminated meat and is characterized by an acute inflammation of the intestinal tract. Initial signs of nausea, loss of appetite, vomiting, and fever are followed by abdominal pain, vomiting of blood, and severe diarrhea. Intestinal anthrax results in death in 25% to 60% of cases.

The CDC report plainly says that infections occur via abrasions or cuts in the skin, first causing insect bite-like bumps. Then ulcers, which can be up to about an inch in size, soon follow. Since the skin is not uniformly reddened, Atta would have had to brush his hands with a steel brush first to cause them to become uniformly red.

On top of that, he would have known to ask for antibiotics instead of having himself fobbed off with something against acid burn, which would do absolutely nothing for him. Anthrax ulcers, according to the CDC report, should be painless. Therefore, topical pain medication would be useless. Below is a description of the proper medication treatment against anthrax. Update: Anthrax antibiotic treatments and CDC disease detective status

Treatments for anthrax

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) www.fda.gov has approved three antibiotics to treat anthrax:

-- Penicillin
-- Doxycycline
-- Ciprofloxacin

CDC Disease Detectives status

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention continues to work with state and local health departments, law enforcement officials, and other federal agencies to investigate incidents of possible anthrax exposures around the United States. In Atlanta, CDC officials continue to work out of a 24 hour Operations Center. The Operations Center includes approximately 50 work stations equipped with state of the art information systems, phone lines, and fax machines. The Operations Center is also responding to hundreds of calls each day from the public. CDC has dispatched more than three dozen employees to either Florida, New York City, or Washington, D.C. More than 50 CDC laboratories have processed hundreds of specimens.

For the latest update on CDC activities and on-going anthrax investigations visit www.bt.cdc.gov/ or www.cdc.gov/od/oc/media/.

Regardless of the disparity between Atta's symptoms and the CDC report, the FBI more or less remained convinced of Atta's involvement in the spreading of anthrax across the U.S. However, the deliberate stance of the FBI could be politically motivated.

AMI Employee Speaks Out About Anthrax Case

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The editorial director of American Media says his company knows how the man killed by anthrax was exposed to the disease. He is also making scathing comments about the Palm Beach County Health department. Steve Coz, Editorial Director at American Media in Boca Raton, says that the company knows how the anthrax bacterium got into their building, and he says there is a connection to the terrorists.

Coz says he believes there is a connection, particularly to Mohamed Atta, the hijacker believed to be the leader of the terrorists who resided in South Florida. "We know Mohamed Atta was within three miles of the [American Media] building, we know he was within a mile of Bob Stevens house. We know that the FBI is now going to local pharmacies to see if he did in fact get Cipro. We know that he showed up at a pharmacy with red hands. There are people in this area who have very direct recollection of seeing him. He worked out in a gym where some of our employees were." The FBI continues to say they have not made a direct connection between the terrorists and the anthrax cases.

Will exposure to anthrax make your hands swell and become red? Not by itself, not just like that. A desperate scrubbing might, in a lost attempt to clean the bacteria or spores from the skin of the hand. It is possible Mohamed Atta decided only last minute to fly one of the planes into the WTC himself knowing that he’d been exposed to a deadly infection. But it could have been something else too. Whatever it was, it was gladly adopted by the coalition to justify a further intensification of their attack, which didn’t run as smoothly as planned.

What agent, besides anthrax, may make one's hands turn red? It is the unspeakable terror; the nightmare of humanity -- nuclear material.

Atta’s Symptoms Were Consistent
With Plutonium Irradiation

If you handle a vial of highly radioactive powder, say Uranium or Plutonium, without proper shielding, you will end up burning the exposed skin closest to the vial, most likely that of your hands, causing it to swell and redden.

If even one vial of powdered plutonium had been in any of the planes that crashed into the WTC or the Pentagon, turning the plane into a dirty nuke, we will see a rash of mysterious deaths, which begin unexplainably to occur years after the initial attack.

These deaths will be blamed on traumatic stress or a variety of other ailments, if an investigation is even conducted at that time. The U.S. government must have had its suspicions from the start given the precautions taken at the crash sites.

While anthrax can be destroyed with disinfectants and people can be treated with vaccines and antibiotics, breathable Plutonium dust (3 microns) is persistent and has an extremely long half-life, on the order of thousands to millions of years! People either die quickly from a large dose, or slowly and painfully from the resulting cancers.

While the White House is hesitant to admit that Osama bin Laden is in possession of nuclear weapons, we are told that our pilots have been targeting nuclear materials manufacturing sites inside Afghanistan. Further, the President and the Vice-President are so concerned about these threats that they feel compelled to remain apart.

Cheney hides as concern mounts over nukes

Vice President Dick Cheney said Wednesday evening that he and President Bush are kept apart because the United States fears a decapitation attack by terrorists armed with weapons of mass destruction.

"You've got people able to organize a conspiracy able to come into the country and perhaps smuggle weapons of mass destruction in with them and threaten, in effect, not just one individual, but threaten the government and conceivably be able to try to decapitate the federal government," Cheney told CBS' "Sixty Minutes Two."

The comments mark the growing concern in the Bush administration over the possible use by terrorists of either radiological bombs or small, portable nuclear weapons, several administration officials told United Press International.

In Afghanistan, a reporter for a British newspaper found what The Times called al Qaida plans for an atomic bomb similar to the ones the United States dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki more than 56 years ago.

The reporter discovered partially burned documents in a house in Kabul that residents said had been an al Qaida safe house. The plans -- written in Urdu, Arabic, English and German -- give detailed instructions on how to use TNT to force together enough uranium to create critical mass and an explosion, The Times reported.

While many U.S. experts scoffed at the claim, even the possibility of its being true has proved profoundly unsettling to Washington's major policy makers, according to several sources.

There was a time when Washington believed the Japan would never day to attack Pearl Harbor, as   General Billy Mitchell had predicted in years earlier.  His predications put him directly into conflict with leadership in Washtington, and he was rewarded for his patriotisim by being branded a trouble maker and was stripped of his commission.  After his predication became reality, his commission was restored and he was given a promotion.

Keeping this in mind, it behooves us to listen to secular and non-secular prophetic voices from the past that have warned us the very dangers we face today.

An Ague Worse Than Leprosy

Are we under the threat of nukes? Yes we are. When will the enemy make good on that threat? No one can tell, but the threat is definite. Another battle goes to the bad guys because the mere anxiety and sheer terror of a nuke attack is a victory to them. Furthermore, when we are nuked, those that remain must remember that this nation will respond at least in kind. Such a scenario would be indescribably terrifying! One dare not think about the level of destruction that we will see in that event!

One woman did, however, dare to think about it centuries ago. Her thoughts were bone chilling.

Mother Shipton's Complete Prophecy

And Christian one fights Christian two
And nations sigh, yet nothing do
And yellow men great power gain
From mighty bear with whom they've lain.

These mighty tyrants will fail to do
They fail to split the world in two.
But from their acts a danger bred
An ague - leaving many dead.
And physics find no remedy
For this is worse than leprosy.

Oh many signs for all to see
The truth of this true prophecy.

Dark times are beginning, in which we need to keep our eyes and ears open to prevent the current conflict from flash igniting into an all-out nuclear war. The unthinkable has become possible, indeed likely! Someone seems to be willing to deliver a first strike in a nuclear conflict either by spreading powered Plutonium or detonating a suitcase device. The result could be an “ague” far, far worse than leprosy, although comparable in outward symptoms. In addition, there will be no remedy for the disease of radiation poisoning.

Are We Willing to Fight Terror with Terror?

America has had a long-standing policy of restraint from the use of torture to gain information from suspects. However, torture has shown to be an effective way to stop terrorist cells from using the agents they now seem to be using. This nation may soon reach the point where we have to weigh the ethics of this restraint against the need for national security. If so, we will need to ask ourselves which of the two is the more immediate need. Since we are moving towards a time of war, there can be no reasoning sufficient to allow the torture of thousands of innocent civilians to spare a suicidal maniac the agony of a singular torture. It will be a tough choice, but this, after all, is war.

Instead of playing what if games, we need to assume that Osama bin Laden does in fact have these weapons of mass destruction and that he intends to use them.  If we’re not ready to get mean, then we need to get ready to pay for our smug morality with more innocent deaths.  Many more!
