Hi ron, thanks for your input. When I try to install, it is saying cc is not there. Then I started installed gcc3.3 from gcc site. Now to install that also it is saying cc is not there.. what is going on

If you reinstall solaris 9, the prebuilt perl on the box from the install will not have the DBI and DBD-Oracle installed.
