Package: inkscape
Version: 0.44.1-1
Severity: normal

Hello!

This is on a plain etch system. Running a GNOME session, I installed
Inkscape and discovered that on nautilus right-click on an SVG (just
created by Inkscape) doesn't show the option to edit the file in
Inkscape.

FWIW, `see $FILE.svg` launches Inkscape, thus this could be a GNOME
problem, please reassign it accordingly.

Thx, bye,
Gismo / Luca

Hi there!

I do not fully agree with the unreproducible tag, in the sense that
after 4 years a lot of stuff have changed (including the underlying
GNOME DE), so I would say it is quite expected that such a minor bug is
unreproducible on today's software ;-)

Indeed, the bug is still present in etch_4.0r7 with inkscape_0.44.1-1
and nautilus_2.14.3-11+b1. I experience the same as the
debian/changelog entry below, with the fact that there are two inkscape
entries in the "open with another application" menu, one for "Inkscape"
and the other for "Inkscape SVG Vector Illustrator".

    with"

Not in a recent sid with inkscape_0.48.1-2.1+b1 and nautilus_2.30.1-3
nor in lenny_5.0.8 with inkscape_0.46-2.lenny2 and nautilus_2.20.0-7.
Thus, I set that latter version as the fixed one, despite the fact that
nothing changed in the .applications file, so the source of the problem
could be elsewhere.
