Package: gthumb
Version: 3:2.6.6-1
Severity: important
I connected my Canon IXUS v camera to a USB port and switched the camera
on, and udev detected the camera:
sample from /proc/bus/usb/devices:

and set the permissions:
-rw-rw---- 1 root camera 57 2005-11-06 15:08 /proc/bus/usb/004/003
However, gthumb gave the following error when attempting to import
photos:
An error occurred in the io-library ('Bad parameters'): Could not find
USB device (vendor 0x4a9, product 0x3052). Make sure this device is
connected to the computer.
Do you have any suggestions for further troubleshooting?
As user amarsh04, I am in groups "camera" and "plugdev" when attempting
to import photos with gthumb.
Regards,
Arthur.
