It seems that we have a hard time understanding each other.
I certainly have my share of responsibility for it, and I'm sorry.

The attached PO file still seems to be out-of-sync with the source
Debian builds pidgin-otr from: it translates the *fixed* English
string (with "should choose") again, instead of the string ("should
chose") that is currently in the sources presently in Debian. See what
I mean?

Did you really see *this* *specific* string translated into pt_BR in
the Pidgin UI, once the PO file is compiled and given to pidgin-otr
that is currently in Debian unstable? If yes, then that's a mistery
for me. If no, this means this PO file is not in good shape to be
added to Debian, and really, I'd rather give up the discussion at this
point, since this feels more and more out of the scope of the work I'm
willing to do, and let upstream put out a point-release instead.

Ian, any plan to release a tarball with the fixed English string, and
updated translations? :)

I'm sorry I don't get what you mean here.

(Please keep the bug report Cc'd, I'd rather not discuss
this privately.)

Cheers,
