yes and no ;-)

When i try another user before during autologin timeout, password is
hidden/masked. When i try another user (without login) and then switch
back to the autologin user, the password is hidden/masked too.

But the autologin with timeout > 0 is not working (see still open bug
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=702936 ), then i need
type the password. And there is a place, where the password is
displayed while typing.

That is the reason, why i am wrote in initial post about testing the
autologin timeout. And i mention too, that because the autologin with
timeout is still not working and then i need to type the password...
Did you read this?

But, IMO don't matter when the password is typed, it must be always
hidden.
