Hello Christopher, One third of this wishlist is implemented, now update-menus --remove will remove the menu provide the menu-method generate a single file or provide a 'removemenu' definition. The second part is to add removemenu to the 5 menu-methods that need it. This will be done for menu-xdg soon. The last part is to actually run update-menus --remove in the prerm script. There are some locking issues to consider here, to avoid backgrounded update-menus to recreate the removed menus.
