Thanks for the bug report. So far I had no relevant issues with Conkeror and Firefox 52 (.0, maybe .1) except https://bugs.debian.org/859364 which is important, but not grave. Will check if I can reproduce your issue. At least I currently don't see an according fix/commit nor an according bug report upstream.
