different folder the setting does, in fact, kick in.

The $_SESSION variable for search_scope gets ignored and overridden by some javascript. And replacing app.min.js with app.js fixes the problem. Why that
fixes the problem, I have no earthly idea.

I can't reproduce this in a clean Bullseye chroot. Removed app.min.js
so the non-minified version is used instead, but I still have to reload
the page to prefill the search dialog with Scope=all. Does your app.js
matches what we shipped in roundcube-core? DEBIAN/md5sums snippet:

usr/share/roundcube/program/js/app.min.js.map

They all match except for app.js. I did modify it when troubleshooting the problem but I'm pretty sure i reverted everything back.

What's the easiest way to get my hands on the original file from the package?
