Package: udev
Version: 0.056-1
Severity: minor

I'm using the bluez-utils package to deal with my bluetooth mobile-phone.
Using rfcomm, it creates a device /dev/rfcomm0. As from documentation of this
package, this device should have the following access grants:

crw-rw----  1 root dialout 216, 0 2005-04-08 14:02 /dev/rfcomm0

Unfortunatly, the package configuration doesn't deal correctly with udev and
the group of this device is 'root'. I added a rule to the udev configuration
(the file 'bluez_hack.rules') as follow:

KERNEL="rfcomm",        GROUP="dialout"

Now it works.

As requested from udev's maintainer:

"MAINTAINERS BEWARE: the use of /etc/udev/rules.d/ by other packages is
discouraged. If you think your package needs to create a file there,
then please contact the udev package maintainer and explain your needs."

I've filled a bug report against udev and not against bluez-utils.
Feel free to forward the report if it is necessary.

Thanks,
Mario
