Hi, python-scipy build-depends on: Build-Depends: debhelper (>= 5.0.37.2), dpkg-dev (>= 1.13.19), dpatch, python-all-dev, python-central (>= 0.5), python-numpy (>= 1:1.0.2), g77, sharutils, swig, libufsparse-dev, netcdfg-dev, libx11-dev, refblas3-dev | atlas3-base-dev, lapack3-dev | atlas3-base-dev, fftw3-dev However, libufsparse-dev is a virtual package: libufsparse-dev is a virtual package provided by: libsuitesparse-metis-dev libsuitesparse-dev Using libsuitesparse-metis-dev (no default, using first one) But libsuitesparse-metis-dev is in contrib. Shouldn't you depend on libsuitesparse-dev directly to avoid building a package that depends on a contrib package, and thus should go to contrib as well? Also, the package currently FTBFS because of this, since libsuitesparse-metis-dev is not installable.
