I thought from the original report it was obvious that this makes kvm unusable, therefore this bug is not only important. I cannot successfully start kvm at all, except when using the -no-kvm switch. But with that, kvm is just the same as qemu.
I have an intel core i7, therefore the statement that this only affects intel could be correct, but that was not present in the bug report before I bumped the severity.
