[is there another SPF list to post these to?]

There is -- http://spf.pobox.com is the official site for SPF, and there should be a link to the list there.

Why is this an unknown?:

63.170.56.22 [EMAIL PROTECTED] [CGI]: UNKNOWN: v=spf1 +mx ptr
ip4:63.170.56.4 ?all

That's because 63.170.56.22 isn't in the MX record of docboard.org, the PTR for 63.170.56.22 doesn't contain docboard.org, and 63.170.56.22 isn't 63.170.56.4. Therefore, the "?all" is used, which says to return UNKNOWN.

The .22 is a host on my lan. I sent through .4 Do I need to put an ip
range in my dns or is the above normal - maybe because I sent and
received on the same lan??

The computer that connected to your IMail server was 63.170.56.22. You may want to use "ip4:63.170.56.0/24", which would allow any IPs in your Class C range to send mail.
