Hello Hubert,

Glad to hear you are supportive of the idea.
Regarding your questions:
1- will URL to cgit be remapped to the gitlab instance?
Last time I checked with Andrea and Alberto that was the plan.
2- what are the migration plans for bugzilla: bugzilla URL, bug numbers and the
actual content
In the wiki we outline what our plans are. However this is a moving target
based on the input we receive here.
We have to find a balance between how much reasonable effort would one way to
migrate or the other vs the benefits. Also, different projects might have
different needs for migration.
For example, for Nautilus we could migrate just specific important bugs or just
file new bugs in GitLab while preserving the old ones in Bugzilla, where I can
still follow/fix/comment them. As I'm the one maintaining it, I prefer a slow
and smooth transition rather than a hard one and take the opportunity to focus
on the priority ones.

Best regards,
Carlos Soriano

I'm totally supportive of the idea. While it is a proposal, I just have
a couple of questions about the migration:

1. will URL to cgit be remapped to the gitlab instance so that any link
to any specific commmit still point to the proper place? Commit sha1 are
immutable so it is a matter of having a proper redirector where cgit
lives... unless the cgit instance is kept alive.

2. what are the migration plans for bugzilla: bugzilla URL, bug numbers
and the actual content?

I know none of these are easy to implement. Let me know how I can help.

Cheers,
