I would prefer to keep 4.1.4 for important bugfixes and commit this type of enhancements to trunk for 4.2.0, otherwise we risk to settle too much on 4.1.x for no reason. That said, I'm not the Release Manager, so please go ahead with committing to trunk (which must be done anyway) and then feel free to ask for 4.1.4 too if you wish!
