Hi Ian
Currently I am the moderator of the wiki at:
http://ext.openoffice.org.nz
The wiki engine that Sun is providing at:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome
(as you can see) is twiki. The wiki engine that I am currently using is
would it possible to attach it ta the incubator domain name ?
eg extensions.openoffice.org/wiki
perharps a question for luis
I am also investigating the possibility of using Writer as the
browser/editor of a wiki directly. Copied below is the relevant portion
of a message I sent to Jürgen Schmidt of Sun:
would be a great tool
but not so urgent imho
may be one of our fist deleverded adon
I think we will have to maintain a "Nice to have addons list"
i'm confident that some newcomers would take some of these ideas in
order to learn
BTW, you couls see at coalan's blog writer editor
The last issue is one of copyright. What copyright should the material
in the wiki be under? People at Sun are investigating what their people
would feel comfortable with.
I would say i doesn' matter if it is free
for publishing on the wiki, PDL is actually advertised
The CC has only to be used in particular cases
BUT
I absolutely do not want that to be an issue for new commers
It's free, that's ok for me
While people may feel frustrated that things are moving too slowly, I am
trying to move as fast as my jet lagged brain (picked up a bug during
the 44 hours spent travelling and in airports between Koper and home),
and other commitments allow. So I would welcome any assistance with any
of the above issues.
Ian, the urgent is building the wiki and migrate
the content
then stucturaly prepare it to handle other programing langugaes
I won't have time the coming days :(
Hope more time next week
Laurent
