- we will need the wiki. Ian, are you ready ?
No - been ill and other priorities.
I have updated the twiki plugin beautifier so that it will, roughly,
syntax highlight OOoBasic code, I am yet to upload it to the twiki
plugin repository.
Now working on a good converter (I hope) from Dokuwiki to Twiki format
after wasting some time on a useless approach.
Haven't heard back from Sun people about copyright.
Need to decide whether we have API documentation in a twiki "web" where
users can comment on it. Whatever we choose, or Sun will allow, will
determine the conversion of existing links in the wiki.
i think before we put the API reference in a wiki we have to clarify how
we can exchange the content between the wiki and the IDL files.
A static reference in the SDK is necessary and we probably won't
maintain two sources.
The same for all other kind of reference or genral documentation where
we think that we need a printed or static html version somewhere else
(guides, online help, ...).

What about the on-line basic help, should this be included, editable or
just able to add comments (I made some changes in the existing wiki)?
- a dedicated space for the addon repository
It is possible to upload files to the wiki, could this form a stop gap
approach?
- at least 2 mailing lists : dev@<NameHere> and users@<NameHere>
What do you envisage these mail lists being used for?
I confess that every time I hear of another OOo mailing list I think
"not another one".
[Remainder snipped]
Thanks, Ian
