I had some errors when upgrading to 3.1.4 on CentOS 4.3 I created an
rpm for it also besides trying to install it from the tarball.
Seems to be some conflicts with a few rules. Some SARE rules and the
SA rules also. Should I paste the errors here from a spamassassin
--lint -D or open a ticket?
I do mostly my development work on an old RH 7.2 boxen but use CentOS
for some of my servers. I had no errors on my RH 7.2 box, though. Go
figure.
Whatever you prefer.

Here it is. I'll open a ticket if you all think this is something that
could be a problem. It lints fine with no errors. I copied just the bits
that seemed to me to be an issue.
[31752] info: rules: meta test DIGEST_MULTIPLE has undefined dependency
'DCC_CHECK'
[31752] info: rules: meta test SARE_HEAD_8BIT_NOSPM has undefined
dependency '__SARE_HEAD_8BIT_DATE'
These aren't errors, just info. See bug 4347.
Notice that a --lint returns success.
$ spamassassin --lint && echo $?

to clarify -- Doc, you're only seeing those messages with "-D" or
"-Dinfo", right? Not just from "spamassassin --lint" with no debugs?
They should not be visible without at least "-Dinfo".
--j.
Yes it was only with a spamassassin --lint -D that I saw those
"warnings" it does --lint with no warnings/errors.
I always do a --lint -D when upgrading. 8*)
I'm also +1 but am not a PMC (Just a lowly committer)
