------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED]  2006-07-26 21:45 -------
The problem disappears if we make SpamAssassin correctly parse the HELO in the
Received header by adding

elsif (/(?:HELO|EHLO) ([-A-Za-z0-9\.]+)[^-A-Za-z0-9\.]/) { $helo = $1; }

to the block below "# FALL-THROUGH: OK, let's try some general patterns" in
Received.pm.

I stumbled over this problem when sending mail from GMX to GMX(!).
They use SpamAssassin on their servers and probably lowered the score of the
HELO_DYNAMIC_* rules because of all the false positives, but these rules still
have an influence on the result.
A long discussion with the GMX support (me proposing a change to their modified
qmail servers) led nowhere.
