Hm. Why do you believe this is the case ? Is it something you've seen with a particular modem/model ? I ask because I've done hundreds of loopback tests with Siemens M20s and *never* seen this behaviour - and the purpose of the test was to stress the modem/driver with simulataneous send/receive operations.
