Speaking of Hans Monderman, he's featured in the book "Traffic" by Tom Vanderbilt, which is a great and fun to read book that talks a lot about the human factors of driving. It made me think of how the lessons of interaction design could be applied to the design of intersections and roundabouts. After all, isn't any given intersection essentially just another user interface to be navigated?
