SIGQUIT handling / thread dumps disabled when displaytag is used
----------------------------------------------------------------
Key: DISPL-462
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/DISPL-462
Project: DisplayTag
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 1.1
Reporter: mike bayer
on Unix, sending the SIGQUIT signal to the JVM, or pressing ctrl-\ in the
console, signals the JVM to perform a full dump of all threads to the current
standard error. The moment that a <display:table> tag is invoked within the
running process, both ctrl-\ and explicit SIGQUITs are ignored (or the output
is being redirected somewhere).
Steps to reproduce:
1. run any JSP/struts application, view a JSP page that does not use displaytag.
2. press ctrl-\ in the console. thread dump comes out.
3. add the displaytag taglib to the jsp page, and add the tag <display:table/>
to the page (blank or with attributes, doesnt matter).
4. press ctrl-\. the signal is ignored. same for sending kill -SIGQUIT to the
process.
