You need to specify each field you want to exclude (separated by a
space), if the excludedParams="*" does not work for your needs.

Example:

excludedParams="field1 field2 field3".

Subject: [displaytag-user] How does excludedParams work with wildcard?

Hi,

I need to use the excludedParams feature to shorten the sorting and
paging urls. I use the displaytag inside a form. My url can get over
4000 chars within a few clicks.

I tried to use excludedParams="*". It works as described in the tag
reference. However, I found that I still need a few parameters in the
URL. I tried excludedParams="MyParam*". No parameters got excluded at
all.

Is this the intended behavior? If so, what is the best way for me to
avoid the url getting too long?

Many thanks for your help,

Jane
