I've got paging to work without much trouble at all. All I had to do is
to change the displaytag.properties file to update the links for paging.
I am working on the sortable column header. I found that I could set
sortable="false" and provide my own javascript in the title attribute.
But I would have to encode the request parameters myself. Is there a
simpler solution?

Thanks,

Jane

I'm no expert but I don't believe display tag was intended to be used
this way.

That being said, you can probably make it work (but it's not easy), by
using JavaScript to submit the page after any enterable field is
modified (i.e. onblur).

I believe this would be the only way, since the sorting/paging uses
hrefs, which don't include the list variables that you modified.

It will get tricky to redisplay the same page, the same order, and the
same scroll position, when the page gets reloaded after the save (page
submit).

Subject: [displaytag-user] Checkbox

Hi,

I just started using displaytag. I was able to get most of the look and
feel that I need quickly. Now I need put checkboxes in the first column
to select rows. I'd like to preserve the checkbox status while paging
sorting. I read through the archive and got lots of information. But
all of the links to possible solutions were not available any more.
Does any expert on the list still have a working solution? I also like
to get export to work with the checkbox selection. But that is the next
step.

Thanks a lot for your help,

Jane
