Just bought a TR-3 that needs alignment. Drake recommends disconnecting the plate and screen voltages before aligning. I have two questions:
1. How are these disconnected? Is there any way to disconnect them than desoldering? I don't want to ruin the passthroughs playing around with pliers. (Don't worry, I won't have the rig plugged in.) 2. Is there any reason other than safety for doing this in the first stages of the alignment? Thanks for the help. Keith Bower W0BAV
