Definitely sounds like what he's talking about to me.

I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt though, and say that he is
just kicking himself while ranting & raving because hindsight provides us
with 'perfect' vision of what we could have done.

There is no way to know whether the quasi-anonymous e-gold you just
received is "clean" other than by enacting "guilty until proven otherwise"
policies. Please correct if I'm wrong.
