------------ Thanks! I've not read that one. A great novel about the early days of maritime shore station operations is "The Nymph and the Lamp" by Thomas H. Raddall. It was published in 1950 by Little, Brown and Company, Boston, USA. It's still available through used book dealers on the internet.
