Dan and all, There is a more certain method of centering the RIT than 'by ear'. Watch the display while turning the RIT on and off, when the two frequencies agree, it is centered. You don't need to repeatedly turn RIT on and off to do that either - just look at the frequency with RIT off and turn RIT on and adjust for the same frequency on the display.
