Several people have contacted my off list asking why so expensive for shipping? Easy - - - insurance! The shipping companies make a huge profit off their insurance coverage. That said, there is no way I would ship my K3 across town without insurance, let alone to California. I like my K3 and do not want something to happen to it. The shipping insurance holds the shipping company (in this case UPS) accountable.
