at this stage no sound support is even on the plans for e17. i'm currently
leaving it out of things until later. beast doesnt look like what we want. jack
looks ok- but it's probably overkill. you might also be surprised how well
esound is supported these days.
honestly sound is a pain since we would need to support a range of different
sound devices or api's and sound is one of the better cross-platform sound
wrappers/daemons. but as i said. at this stage sound isn't really on the cards.
