I am a longtime Python automation enthusiast and work at VMware.
I'm originally from Ireland and lived in California.
So, Birmingham is a perfect location for your eminent conference :)
- thinking of submitting a paper. Something on virtualization with Python,
maybe profile an app or two. Nothing too seismic. No promises.
- is there a CFP date? abstract date? final copy date?
- any guidelines on paper format or length? what is your acceptance rate?
- are you aware of anyone else from VMware who might be presenting?
- also I'm trying to plan my travel and assuming I don't get corporate
sponsorship.
So, I guess I'll attend Thursday 2 July. Will try to make Wed too but you know
how it is with American companies and vacation...
Are you able to let me pick that Thursday for presenting, assuming I'm accepted?
- do you have any special hotel rates? which hotels do people usually stay in?
and how to book them from the US? I'm looking for a nice three-star hotel
with internet.
- could you put up a Google map of Birmingham Conservatoire and how to get there
from the airport (bus/taxi?)? I don't know one end of Birmingham from the
other.
