Hello, I just finished trying to recompile my kernel for the third time; I'm sure I followed all the steps exactly as described on the MUO pages and when it gets to the make install part - it fails on mkinitrd. I try doing it manually as the error message suggests and I get:
mke2fs 1.27 (14-Mar-2002) could not find any device /dev/loop# Can't get a loopback device I've left my laptop sitting as is and I'm hoping that I can rescue it from where it is - if not, at least find out what the problem is. Thanks for any help, Mike
