This is a letter I wrote to PETA. The e-mail address is about a year old so I hope it's still good.
Jeff, I was a member of PETA for many, many years, but I stopped donating money to your organization when I found out how PETA treats feral and stray cats. I have cared for a colony of feral cats for several years, and they are all healthy, happy cats. Your attitude towards killing all the feral cats you can is sick and disgusting for a supposedly "humane" organization.
