That's what I have always been told. Let a bite wound bleed freely for as long as possible to wash out the bacteria. Bacteria from a FeLV kitty is no different than from any other cat. They all can lead to a bad infection. Let it bleed, wash with soap and hot water, rinse with hydrogen peroxide, soak i Epsom salts added to hot water and watch for signs of infection. I've had many that have healed just fine and a few that required an antibiotic. Sharyl
