Not to be negative but I don't think it gets any easier. Even though I knew 
keeping horses was a lot of work, I didn't have any idea until I actually was 
doing it.  It seems ok when you are off work for a few days or when you can't 
ride for some reason but I find it frequently overwhelming to work, ride and 
take care of horses and a farm especially if you try to do anything else.  I 
used to complain when I boarded my horses about this and that that the people 
who owned whatever barn I was at did or didn't do.  I couldn't figure out what 
their problem was until I was them.  I am not saying it is not rewarding and 
advantageous in a lot of ways but taking care of horses at home is not for the 
faint of heart.  

Robin in Florida where it is going to get down in the (horrors!) low 40s the 
next few nights
