Nope. Should definitely work.

Behind again ... that works already. Look into $FG_ROOT/Nasal/startup.nas
This checks again at Nasal initialization time (which comes after the
environment subsystem initialization) if METAR is active, an airport
chosen, but neither runway nor heading, and if so, makes a presets-commit.
So you end up on a runway that should be usable for the METAR wind.
