The cygwin git worked as expected. :-) I don't have previous experience with git. What is the git command to get the base packed? Or, is there a page that explains the git packages somewhere? Thanks - and again, I was pleasantly surpised by how well the process went. It was a big help.

I found that I have best results with autoctrl=false (see git-config) using msysGit with the base package.
