I wrote a set of notes years ago covering the issues described in this guide, as reminders for myself. I kept meaning to flesh it out a bit and post it online, but never got around to it until yesterday -- and then only because an acquaintance needed the help this could provide, so I updated the notes (it had gotten a bit out of date with the current state of affairs in Fossil SCM land), filled in a bunch of explanatory text, and finally posted it.
