The printer is not involved. This works very well. There can be requirements that you create the PDF via Distiller, but this is also automated. You can still use Save As PDF. You do not need to print to a PostScript file. SetPrint cannot be installed (FM 2020 is 64 bit) and is not needed. There isn't any headless Distiller in FM 2020. I'm sure I saw "2020" in the download title although I wasn't aware that a 2020 version was available (it's a subscription through an affiliated office in Austria). I seem to remember that there were some issues using unstructured FrameMaker with the built-in (headless distiller?) PDF tool such that a certain checkbox had to be selected at install and Frame and Acrobat had to be installed in a particular order (I've had Acrobat installed for the last 3 years so I need to know if that will cause issues). I also remember a tiny (free?) tool called something like "Set_Print". Does that still exist and is it still necessary? It feels weird to be a Frame newby after using it for 9 years in my last job. Thanks in advance for any advice, Alison _______________________________________________ This message is from the Framers mailing list Send messages to framers@lists.frameusers.com Visit the list's homepage at http://www.frameusers.com Archives located at http://www.mail-archive.com/framers%40lists.frameusers.com/ Subscribe and unsubscribe at http://lists.frameusers.com/listinfo.cgi/framers-frameusers.com Send administrative questions to listad...@frameusers.com _______________________________________________ This message is from the Framers mailing list Send messages to framers@lists.frameusers.com Visit the list's homepage at http://www.frameusers.com Archives located at http://www.mail-archive.com/framers%40lists.frameusers.com/ Subscribe and unsubscribe at http://lists.frameusers.com/listinfo.cgi/framers-frameusers.com Send administrative questions to listad...@frameusers.com
