Hmm, I just looked at my copy of the template pack and the square behind
the chapter number is missing. How annoying.

The good news is that if you click File > Document > New and then click
Explore Standard Templates at the bottom of the page, there's one with the
color block under User Guide > Chapter. You should be able to replace that
color block with your customer's graphic.

If you put an appropriately sized version of it on a reference page, you
should be able to bring it in with Frame Above or Frame Below paragraph for
the section numbers and page numbers. Might take a little fiddling.
