Not sure if anyone will be concerned but just found that ibiblio

is mirroring the shareware version of Pacific C (circa 1998), while
during 2000 they release the same version as freeware with no
shareware nags. They can be got from

so to summarize: nobody has cared about Pacific C or it's licensing
for the last 20+ years.

Two reasons.
1. Borland's freeware release of Turbo C 2.01 and later Turbo C++ 1.01,
which had better C runtimes.
2. OpenWatcom, which had pretty much everything Borland did, and wasn't
just freeware (though it needed a beefier host computer).
