The military-mercenary-"security" complex has more to do with the future of work than we would wish for. We can either put our heads in the sand or address the future.
> Armies do commit atrocities. All armies. Excuse me, what atrocities does the Swiss army commit? > Even Canadian armies. Well, as a NATO member you have little choice. You have to kill Afghans to protect the NYC skyscrapers that were blown up for an insurance fraud that Bibi Netanyahu called "very good" (for the Israel-US relationship). > Yes, even those armies in countries without a free press. It is laudable that Haaretz reported this, but doing so seems to change very little (also abroad, where it usually isn't reported, unlike the umpteenth suicide bomber) and doesn't revive the killed Palestinians. The power of that military-industrial complex is so vast that they can execute civilians in the light of day without consequences. > Other countries in the mid east have similar stories to tell Which Arab government army is shooting Jews for sport, is occupying parts of Israel, is regularly invading Israel, ...? > Anyone for looking at what is going on elsewhere in the mid east? Yes. Why is this "free press" distorting Ahmadinejad's statements and the war crimes in Iraq so much?
