Hello, The original poster was refering to a swamp cooler, usually a fan and a block of Ice or a fan and a mist system, Room A/C's will LOWER humidity thus the reason it drips outside. I heard of floor A/C's (no window required) but have no experience with them.

Like you I don't own a house yet, so this has worked. I hook it up to a thermometer. When the room gets above 82 degrees, it kicks on. I have not really noticed the humidity going up with my unit. I bought mine used for 75 bucks. > TQ > > _______________________________________________ > Global Gecko Association > http://www.gekkota.com > Classifieds > http://www.gekkota.com/cgi-gekkota/classifieds.cgi > gecko mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://lists.gekkota.com/mailman/listinfo/gecko > _______________________________________________ Global Gecko Association http://www.gekkota.com Classifieds http://www.gekkota.com/cgi-gekkota/classifieds.cgi gecko mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.gekkota.com/mailman/listinfo/gecko
