I would like to install Gentoo tuned for my hardware (Thinkpad 240)
I don't have a bootable CD drive, is it possible to just untar the stage-1 archive on a partition and install there?
I have a partition with Mandrake 9, a partition with my home folder and a partition for Gentoo.
