Hello everyone,
After installing java, i can't just run 'java' from the console, as java apps fail, like jedit.
Is this a forgotten emerge package action or did i miss a warning in the compiler output mess ?
I'm still unfamiliar with the Unix/Linux file/dir tree; can i create a link as /usr/bin/java that points to the java binary in /opt/blackdown-jdk-xyz/, and which user/permission settings would be required ? I'd rather guess it's a missing env var or $PATH entry ?
