Most of the time, there's no need. There are times when a package is updated and needs a config update immediately after or you could end up with the new program being called with the old config. Binary installs mean you have a better idea of when that will need to be done. It's not a big issue, but I already have the binary build setup so adding one more host was a simple matter of creating a directory for the chroot and adding the host name to an existing script. How long did the initial install take on the Geode? I installed to the chroot on the build host in the first place then rsynced everything across. -- Neil Bothwick WWW: World Wide Wait
