No, that message is just zsh printing the error message. For example, 
when you enter:

  sdfkljsdfklsdfjkl

with bash you get:

  bash: sdfkljsdfklsdfjkl: command not found

With zsh, the prefix would be "zsh: ", not "bash: ".
