This raises an issue I've wondered about. I wasn't clear if we had a choice between 'broadcast' and 'podcast' (usually extended) versions. Is this usually possible? if so, do we need to list versions first to tell them apart, and then specify an option by name (or by pid?).
And when versions are 'shortened'? ... e,g, when the 'listening project' used to cut off 5 mins from a programme I used to find that short version was what I get simply using the PID in the daily shedules - even though the 'full length' broadcast later on had the same PID. Should I have used the 'versions' to select this or a different PID? Also, what about podcast-only items? IIUC current versions of gip don't access these? Or am I wrong? The BBC seem determined to make more of them than before. Answers/explanations/hints welcome... :-) Jim In article <[email protected]>, James Scholes <[email protected]> wrote: > Roger Wilkins wrote: > > Does anyone know if there is a way round this - to get the original R4 > > feed?
